Well, speaking as someone who has done it once.
it is visible, and the cable is under tension.
But the bumper just sneaks under the cable.
You really do not feel it until you get your grill into it...
At least on a stock height car.

 

Me too, Todd...almost 3 years now, and I haven't had a nod about the front plate.

I park in a lot like that periodically - and thanks for the heads up!
