2.0L Issues speak up
Well, I'm getting intermittent surging, rough idle, boost cut out, all signs point to the GM Stage 1 sensor wiring, however, I'm past my 3-year / 36k mile warranty (38k miles), if I brought this in, would it be repaired under the 5-year / 100k mile power train warranty, or would I be better off fixing it myself?

Remember the non high wear parts in the drivetrain are under the longer warranty. That is why the extended warranty is not so much a must buy in these vehicles.
Tried to get the local dealer to fix it, they claim its only covered by a 1-year 12k mile warranty. I give up on fighting with the dealer(s) about it. Seems like there's a major disconnect in communication with GM dealers regarding GMPP upgrades around here, which is unfortunate because I love the car when it runs well.
However, with my experience with all the local Chevy dealers, this thing is being traded in on a Ford CMAX in about two years, but I will solder the wires myself - sucks to have to fix my own car, when the reason I bought a new car was for the warranty.

Yeah it sucks BUT...Doing the work yourself and getting the satisfaction out of it that GM couldn't and wouldnt do it is even better......so to GM kiss my ARSE....I have made this car that was designed by you better without your SUPER COMPUTER and Tech 2 module.....ARSEHOLES......I'm just saying thats my .02 worth have a great day

I see so many people here complain about their dealer but they just keep going back? If a DR messed your heart surgery would you go back. There are too many Chevy dealers already so go to another and often the service will be as good as the one I have.
The Turbo Upgrade is under 5 year 100,000 warranty don't let anyone tell you different.
Like I said you get the satifaction out of doing it yourself also....I had mine done and never had another issue....just do it be done then fly by the dealer stop in lay down some tracks in the parking lot and smoke em out......Butt Splice em and heat shrink it
