BCM problem? Source for parts?
So...I turned the traction control off and on several times per suggestion above and then tested brakes and traction control on Saturday's slippery going. Brakes had ABS feedback to the pedal and traction control seemed to work, putting power to the wheel with more traction. No srv messages were displayed after either test whereas previously both tests had triggered srv messages which only went away by turning the car off and on. I wonder if prolonged (over a mile) driving on very slippery conditions with traction control working against a heavy throttle last spring somehow caused a fault which shut off the systems. At least for the time being my problem is no longer evident. At slower speeds in both mud and snow I have had traction control actually stop the vehicle. I wonder if at higher speeds it shuts off rather than stopping the vehicle. Thanks all for your help!
BTW Despite the electrical gremlins (this issue is not the first) I love the car. I wonder how far and long I have left. (it is a 2008 and I have 140,000 on it).

The problem, which seems to have been resolved at least for now was not one I had observed in my first 13 years and 100,000 plus miles of similar driving in Northern New England. The messages: SRV ESC; SRV TRACTION; SRV BRAKE; ESC OFF flashing in rotation but not necessarily in that order, the red brake light (same as when you leave the emergency brake on), and the shut off of the ABS and the traction control happened twice last winter and mud seasons during long runs with poor traction and twice again with a recent storm simply when I locked the wheels and ABS did not activate. The messages and brake light would go away by turning off and turning on the car but the lack of ABS and traction control seemed to persist. However when I turned the traction control on and off several times per the suggestion above, the ABS and Traction control seemed to come back and the messages did not restart when ABS was activated by slamming on the brakes. So my guess is that either the circuitry contains logic related to speed or duration of Traction control, or related to intermittent Traction control malfunction or ABS malfunction. But again thanks for your interest and your help.
