Update.

So I guess the guys are saying we are pushing to get the car running this weekend.
it will be nice to have a vehicle again that is reliable. Heat works and we can drive farther than 15 miles.
our poor truck has seen better days. But has served us well. Figured I'd share a picture of my old toy. It's a 87 regal with a 6.0l and a 80mm turbo. 4l80e trans.
saddly had to sell it when I had a heart attack. But thing happen for a reason.

sucks not having this car anymore or the ability to build another. Maybe someday things will change. Or maybe this hhr will become the new toy. But nothing compares to the rumble of a cammed and turbo charged v-8 . Having almost 1k hp on tap. God bless.

Might have a problem

So last night one of the guys swapped the flywheel in place of the flexplate. (New motor was from a manual car my car is a auto).
anyways one of the guys used the long bolts for the manual flywheel to install the flexplate. Needless to say it it stopped the engine from rotating. Only thing that worries me is he said he heard a pop when tightening the bolt.
After swapping to short ones all seems fine. But worried what that pop was he exsplained. Worried something somewhere broke. So today I'll be going out and measuring the depth of the hole for the flywheel bolt and comparing to the length of the long bolts for the flywheel do gain some direct. Hoping this didnt crack the main web or something along those lines by pressing against it to hard.

Why aren't you there when work is done ?
From the picture of your LS turbo build you know what to do.
Is this the same guy that gave the info about pulling the engine and it was incorrect ?
Honestly even if I was in a wheel chair I would be there to foreman the job.
Sorry if it sounded harsh. That wasn't my intent.

couldn't be out there at the time this happend. I had to step into the house so my heart monitor could upload. So 10 minutes gone and boom. No this isnt the same guy. Just some family with enough wrenching knowledge to get them in trouble.

Here’s a picture of that end of the crankshaft, looks like this long bolts could have damaged the rear main bearing cap, not the web

found a video that showed about 1/4 distance between the crank and the main. So I'm hoping the pop was just the flexplate seating. But in it gos. Snake cam showed nothing.
