This motor has a designation LNF, and is shared by Cobalt SS, Saturn Sky Red Line, and Pontiac Solstice GXP. You may have been typing when I just posted some links.

I just noticed they want 1.5 hours for the VVT valves.

The extra exhaust gaskets are the air gaskets.

From Mitchell: Include R&R of air filter. Looks like they don't know how to read the flat rate book. That labor is almost right for the Camshaft Position SENSORS. And no reason given for the work. I don't trust them, they are throwing parts at your car.

Has anybody used oemcats(first link)? Not sure I trust it, seems like maybe some kind of classified ad or something. This one is in Moscow, shipping would probably kill the deal.

The other one is the same that I linked to. Does anybody think it should go in the common part thread? BorgWarner 179425 if anybody wants to shop around.

Update: Took the HHR to an independent and he's replacing just the solenoids - says everything else is fine. $360 with oil change vs $3000 from Chevrolet.

You posted the prices; $66.53 each. Parts $133.06, labor for both 1.1 hours.

Oil changes with M1 probably around $50.

If you meant to include the 2 turbo parts that's about $100 according to the links posted.

That makes a difference, but you said "just the solenoids" which I took to mean the VVT valves., and we have heard of shops charging that much. I was advising to look closely at the estimate.

Yes, I agree, find out which solenoids. The solenoids your dealer wanted to replace shouldn't have anything to do with an overboost code. You should only be looking at the boost control solenoid or the electrical connector for it.
