Question about fixing turbo upgrade problems. Please help!

I have had the GMTU for over a year but recently I have been having problems when I run my SS hard like passing a slow car on a two lane road. It will fall flat and have no boost. A key turn off and back on fixes it. I believe that the lower sensor is hitting when I put the engine under stress causing it to short. Is it possible to turn the sensor around the otherway so it is no longer facing toward the engine? I looked to the pipe the sensor sits on and it looks like there are two places that it could screw in similar to the top sensor.

Will it work? Anyone try it? Advice of a fix greatly needed soon. I am tired of this happening. Thanks.

I used the search window, and found this thread about this issue
www.chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40378
give that a read and see if this applies to your sensitive sensor

You are right OldBlue they are a little sensitive if you let them rub. That thread has a few solutions for you. BTW mine is still running great with the fix my dealer did.......

I had the same problem. after a long battle and in and out of the dealership.
I changed dealerships. Heres how we fixed the problem they took out the lower ic pipe
and turned the sensor a 180* and soldered the conections and some kind of shrink wrap over the wires and that fixed the problem. Also consider the TTR motor mount it will prevent the engine from moving wot and it will prevent the sensor from rubbing on anything. Not to mention the extra traction The last 6 months I have had o problems.

Mine did the same thing, worse if being driven in the rain. I could see it in HP Tuners so I soldered all the crimped connection the dealer put on that problem resolved. Now I have a Half-Shaft CV going out... 30K
