Did the FE3 sport suspension use the same length of end links that the FE5 performance suspension did? Rock Auto says GM link 20784688 (250 mm c to c) fits soft ride FE1, FE3 Sport and FE5 P&H suspension so it would seem so. But then it also lists GM Link 20784686 (300 mm c to c) as fitting the FE1 Soft and FE3 sport but not the FE5 so now I'm about as confused as Elmer Fudd at the end of Duck Rabbit Duck! Can you use either length of link with FE1 and FE3? There's 2 inches difference in length there.

The proper end link is approx. 10 inches whatever that is in mm. For unknown reasons the parts books list both 10 inch and 12 inch.

250 mm equals 9.84 inches
300 mm equal 11.8 inches

for the FE5 suspension as it sits 2” lower get the 250 mm .

While the 12 inch links will "fit" any HHR the correct link for all HHRs is 10 inch. I have been fighting that misinformation for 14 years. Ride height has nothing to do with it, the connection on the strut is below the spring, interference with the control arms does; some people don't notice the link banging into the LCA others do. In the end the length does not affect ride or handling enough for "Joe Driver" to notice.

The Moog part number for the 10" links ends in 12 (K750012), so parts guys assume that means they are 12 inches long. Curiously Moog says the 10 inch links are for "naturally aspirated" and the 12 inch are for "non-turbo" WTF that means. The part number for 12 inch is K80252.

I’ve experienced the different length end links in my LS with FE1 stock springs and lowering and my 2LT with FE3 suspension, stock springs , but have not installed longer links in an SS with FE5 suspension
