OK I left for San Diego, CA on Wed and everything went well even through the mountains. Did fine around CA traffic and we got back today and weather was 114 deg to 116 deg outside. Did fine.

What they said was a voltage drop with the connectors to the MAP sensors. Make sure they solder them. I guess GM will be sending out a Service Bulletin to have the Kit Soldered. The heat is not good for connectors and over time they become resistance packed.

I'm glad to see that you got the problem solved (knocking on wood.) If you read back early in this post I mentioned that I had the same problem and had it resolved by having the sensor connections soldered. I thought you had that done already but then still had the problem?

Anyway best of luck and happy driving now!

They said they did so that they lied to me. Funny because I told them to do solder the wires because of people having that issue. The problem is that no other dealership went to GM and told them the problem from what I know. My service guy was wondering why they didn't make a complete wire kit with plug and play idea.

Also, can someone point me in the direction where this thing is located. I think I see it right at or attached to the turbo. "I have been wrong before."

So, I was post numer 5 on this thread over a year ago. The surging problem never went away and one day after dropping the kids off at school and while in idle, the tac went wild. I limped in to the dealer and after 5 days of testing decided that they needed to replace the entire turbo. It took them over 15 business days to get a new one from the facotry and 3 days to install.

New turbo makes a cool whinning sound now with a very distinctive pssssst when the BOV lets out.

So, long story short, at 55K miles I have a new, fully warrented turbo!
