Surging when driving normal
Got the car back this morning and they said there was a clamp that just would not losen or tighten. They put a better one on and it seems to be working good. They still don't want to close the case for a few more days incase something else is wrong.
So far this morning, it seems to be ok though. I'm just hoping nothing happens on the way to and from San Diego next week.

tech help to the dealers has been difficult at times on some issue since the money crunch. I hope once Chevy is free and clear things will imporve.
Lose clamps have cause many odd driveability issues.
It is a good sign the dealer is keeping this open. It means they are not 100% sure but they are also not blowing you off.

Like this part? Hmmmmmmm
Note: Front wheel drive platforms using the 2.0 Liter RPO (LNF) incorporate a charge air bypass valve supplemental vacuum tank. The purpose of the tank is to provide an instant source of vacuum to the bypass valve via the bypass solenoid (when it is commanded open by the ECM). This results in less pressure buildup under closed throttle conditions, thereby reducing compressor noise, surge and spool time.
WTF! What is wrong with my car. Stupid thing is worse today than ever. whistling like a bird letting boost off like mad. Hell it's doing it when going 15 mph and below -5 PSI. Constantly letting off boost or no boost. Come on, this can't be hard to diagnose. Man I am so pissed off about now. My wife is pissed off as well and they better give me some sort of vehicle that is equlivalent to what I have.
Keep you all posted.. I'm serious, I did not think a stupid clamp would cause this issue. I think it's the turbo.

Make the dealer get you a loaner HHR. That is what I usually got.
I think the curveball of DI and Turbo being added to this engine and the lack of factory tech support has really put the dealers on the spot with some of the odd issues that have come up.
Let us know what they find.
Update...........
Here is the latest..........talked to dealer today and they are now ordering me a new turbo? Car has been there for 10 days now, not sure if I'll ever get it back. In my case the problem occured once pre kit install, so I had a hunch that it was not related to the stage 1 upgrade.
