^ Hmm. I'm in your relative climate here. Hope they work better on the van than they do for your HHRs. They're less than 2 weeks old.

If you bought them at Discount tire they will let you trade them with in 30 days. These have great reviews but the money. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

I did, so something like that is possible.

However, it's an '02 Venture! No Pilot Sports needed. My wife usually doesn't even go out if it's crappy, but in winter, it's crappy for about 4 months straight in our area... They got a good rating on Tire Rack (even for rain/snow), so I figured they were fine.

I'm going to stay the course. Maybe I'll end up on a ranch in Texas, too, once my wife kicks my butt over this, but I'm staying the course.

Should be ok. My wife doesn't ask much of her tires. It does however have T-1R's just in case, I can sleep knowing I've done all I can to help.

Bit the bullet and had the tire shop order in a set of Extreme Contact DW's for Paddy, I'll get an allowance on the Michelin tires so I don't lose my shirt. Should have the new tires on by Friday, I just had enough sliding around on the Michelins to suit me.

Its been a long time since I "fired" two sets of tires back to back, first the Firehawks on the 2011 and now the Primacys on the 2007. Oh well, Paddy is due to have the rear brakes adjusted, so I'll take care of that while he's on the lift getting new "sneakers".

I know you love the DWS. But I think General has something here. It's new. All the members that were running the Acclaim (summer tread) were happy with them, and in the reviews lots of cars with more power than mine love them. Lastly for the performance level they are dirt cheap.

Not a bad looking tire there Sam, maybe I'll try a set on something in the future. For now I'll stick with the Continentals, all done experimenting with tires....having Paddy "swap ends" on me the other day was the last straw as far as the Michelin tires went.

Yep, General does have something.... nothing more that a name brand of Continental now!

But the reviews are good though.

For the Goodyear Eagle GT fans.... Had a set. Liked them. Great traction wet or dry. BUT, at 20,000 mi. they are shot. Not good treadwear and this issue in showing in the TireRack reviews.

I can vouch for that also, I have 20K on mine and I might make another 5K before I hit the treadbars. Already thinking about replacement. Not happy with the life of them.
