I think you'd really like them sleeper, they do wake up the handling quite a bit without any of the usual performance tire harshness. And you're unlikely to find yourself waving to the guy following you in the rain, when the Paddy-Wagon swapped ends last week the guy behind me had eyes the size of pancakes.

I see your in Tacoma but to be honest ... It does snow in Sequim.
In fact every once and a while we get Dumped on.

The general concept is "Sunny Sequim" with 17" average rain fall per year.

When the Weather Gods get thing lined up just right, We Get It Good.

We had about 6" to 10" last year but it didn't stick around to long.

I remember back a ways when we would get a 12" to 18" blast with more to the west.

We just bought a 2007 LT from a dealer here in CT, and it has Continental ContiProContact tires on it (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ontiProContact). How do these compare to the DSW's? As we tend to get snow every year, should I be looking to upgrade?

Thanks.

Its been years since I lived up in snow country, but I might lean more towards the ProContacts in snowy weather than the DWS models, just based on the tread pattern and compounding. Here in Carolina snow isn't a big concern unless you're in the mountains, and even then its nothing like the weather you have up in CT.

Your other option would be buying a set of dedicated snow tires and either swapping them out with the Continentals for the season, or picking up a set of steel rims and having them mounted up for winter use.

Those Conti pros look like they will handle all weather I'd give them a try for the winter.
