I just got back from driving in the blizzard we have been having for the last 2 day here in Western MI. (Lots of lake effect snow). I was really impressed by how well the blizzaks (WS-60) preformed! Great take off and excellent stopping. On ice covered roads I played a little and it took a very hard turn to get the ESC to activate, and then the car was very controllable. The ESC did exactly as it was supposed to do. On unplowed roads there were several drifts that were mid bumper height and there was some wheel spin and the low traction light came on and cut back power, but the car kept forging ahead.

I drove the wifes LT with the stock Firestone's and it was like night and day... Her car slipped and slided all over the place, took about 2 times as far to stop, and needed momentum to get through the deeper drifts.

I find the Blizzaks are similar in the snow to my Goodyears but the area where the winter tires show a lot better traction is on ice.

Love my snow tires

I ended up finding a used set of Blizzaks and what a difference from the stock performance tires. The little buggy pulled up some pretty steep and slick hills while other cars were fishtailing off the road. Just what I needed to have a little more confidence while driving in the winter, thanks for all the advice! Pam
