Any ways to get back to things air pressure wise. I would encourage your to pick up the Kent Moore tool as you will need it with the Buick. For $59 and shipping it will save you a lot of money.
I'll try City, but tried Jimmy Johnson early with the gmtu problems, I called their service manager (at the request of the chevy phone tech) and they knew nothing about the gmtu upgrade, little about the SS, so I didn't explore them any further.

As far as California goes, it is what it is. Go east and the state is good hard working people. Go to the west, especially in our neighborhood of Santa Monica and it's crazy.

2 million dollar houses and only two of my neighbors actually hold down a real job. It's either inheritance or through divorce, personal injury lawsuits, or city/state workers that retied before 50 at 110% of their base salary.

We produce advertising imagery in still and motion. When we rent a location, we use to be required to hire a location manager (house sitter) for $300 per day though the listing agent. Plus a location permit (even though it is private property).

Now the Country film commission forces us to hire their union location manager at $60 per hour, plus the agents manager, plus pay for a fire marshal to approve our production. To top it off the private location manager's rates went from $200 per day, to $50 per hour to closely match the union manager.

All they ever do is eat the catering and add $1,200 per day to the project.

All of this to take a photograph of a model or actor in a backyard.

When we question the costs, the Film Division says "times are hard and people need work". We explain they don't work, they just eat and the response is, there not there to do your job.

Don't think this entitled mindset is not coming your way.

Agree with you strongly, russruth. It only took about 3 years for Atlas Shrugs mindset to appear here in Arizona....about 400 miles away.

But we digress. This topic is NOT what this thread is about!!

Like a GPS unit, it is foolish to have the expensive units built into the vehicle that cost a fortune to replace when economical aftermarket units are available. If the government is requiring TPS in vehicles they should also require the manufacturers to warranty them for life.

I agree and sorry to go off topic, though as Don06 says, it's government mandated.

I think dealers should make money, everybody should make a profit off of their efforts, but when it comes to a mandated item then you shouldn't get an answer of $700, well, $200, ok if we can reset them it's $70.

My HHR just went out of warranty in Feb. I was out of town or would have paid for the gm extended warranty as mine is perfect with only 32,000 miles, but since I missed it by a few weeks, they won't allow for an extended warranty and things like the prices I received for the tmps sensor worries me.

Once the car is out of warranty, for certain repairs that are dealer mandatory..........Good dealer ok, not so good . . .?

The key to the TPMS is being informed and knowing what things really do cost and what all is involved.

The system in the HHR is not all that expensive and generally can be set by the owner. Most other makes this is not true.

The post 2011 Jan 1st GM car do need the reset tool but at least GM made Kent Moore offer a cheaper version so we all did not have to invest in a $600 unit.

This is just like anything else with a car. If you are not informed or understand what is going on some dealer out there will take you.

My uncle who is so smart he is dumb at times got took on a 12,000 dealer check up. He rarely buys a new car and is used to the high cost of his 911. So when he got socked for $500 at 12,000 miles I said what? He went over all they did and there was nothing they did that truly was needed other than a oil change. But he is an accountant and not a car guy.

In todays world It does not matter what it is investigate things before I get started to cu the risk involved with such deals. I have made some mistakes but many I have overcome.

My 2 year old Freezer started to fail. The repair man said it needed a new thermostat. It would cost $300 to fix it. Well I did not pay much more for the whole thing. I did some digging and found the part needed for $45 and found I could replace it in 15 min. I am not a appliance repair man but I know enough to do some digging and find out what is needed. The bearing on the washer is going but I learned to replace it the parts alone ar near the price of a washer. This is where I leave the tools along and just replace it. It is old anyways.

Russ the films are here in Ohio as they can avoid the crap. Avengers and Runaway Train were both filmed here and Corbin Bernsen has filmed to movies locally here. He is in town all the time. We even got a bit roll in one. I just saw Transformers is going to Detroit next.

Earlier, this year, I found out The Shawshank Redemption was shot in Mansfield, OH, too. It surprised me, but I guess they have the prison there, and some of the downtown scenes were also shot there as well.

They sure did. I was in Andy's solitary cell and even in the wardens office. They have tours there so you get to see everything. Even the room Brooks hung himself in was a officers apartment at the prison.

They filmed Air Force one there too as it was the Russian gulag Berlin was the air port at Columbus. They also did some of Tango and Cash at the prison too.

The big tree where the money was hidden for Red just got hit by lighting not too long ago and fell over. It was just outside Mansfield.

I have a 09 2LT and have had to replace two sensors. The first one would not read correct and it was replaced under warranty. The second one I had to replace today. The part was $58 plus tax, then another $8 to have it put in the tire. I went home and programmed it myself per what the owners manual said. Took about 5 minutes. I did have to go put some air in the tires, being I just released about 8 seconds worth per tire.

Sensors

Ok......so I mounted the new tires on the Solstace rims without sensors(just plain old rubber valve stems). Look awesome and fitment is perfect with the 15mm spacers on the front only(bought from a Saab supplier). So far no flat tire "butt-like" warning light, and when I scroll through to the tire pressure readouts.....they still say 34LF, 34RF, 34LR and 34RR. I'm happy ...but can't understand why I don't have a warning light.
