Is this true? If so, my new question is do I even want my ABS active. I had my ABS out for 5 years on my 99 Bonneville and it never affected my ability to drive hard in summer months and safe in winter months. Or on the HRR is there another reason I'd want to keep my ABS active?
Yes, as I already posted this in post # 3 on this thread.. "Whatever size you use, TIRES should be the same height", or OD.. (reguardless of rim size

I like the ABS on mine.. You do what suits you about yours..

Also: A competent tire shop 'should' be helpful in selecting a proper offset..

Use this tool to figure tire size. You want to put in your stock size to the left, then you can play with tire sizes on the right. Just remember to keep your tire diameter the same, or you will have to tune to correct. Larger size will not affect abs or traction control, but will change speedometer, and odometer calibration. For instance, a 215/70/15 is the same diameter as a 255/50/17, but the other measurements are totally different.

I'm running 255/40/18 Hankook v12's on my SS, with no clearance problems, and a whole bunch of needed traction. "Moon"
