I stole the snow tires off the Cooper S before trading it on the HHR. They are a tad small but work very well:

These wheels are generic alloys ("Sport Edition F7") from Tire Rack, and just clear the Brembos on the front. The tires are Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3. At 215/45 17, this wheel/tire combo actually provides superior dry and wet performance to the stock Michelins. No surprise.

Here is a link for the wheels:

[QUOTE=pnad;431637]I put on General Altimax 205/65/r15 's with steel wheels from tire rack. The 65 is actually closer to stock height (a little taller).

Skipped the wheel sensors and just blocked out the idiot light behind the cluster. A few screws and a couple cuss words saved me the cost of wheel sensors. I can manage to check tire pressure on my own for a few months
[QUOTE]

I put those same General Altimax tires on my Riv this winter and am very happy with them. Nice quiet, smooth running tires and grip quite well on the snow and ice. Not as good as the Blizzaks of course, but a good compomise for all-weather coverage.

Nice winter tire/wheel combo Jacob! They look good on your red SS. I have the 16" Soprt Edtition F2s I believe and they are OK for winter-bombing for sure! I am personally not into that blacked-out steelies look, I'd much rather have a cheaper set of aluminum rims on there.

just ordered 2nd set of wheels form Discount Tires first set wouldn't clear brembos so they say the Drag DR-34 will work 18x8 5-110 at $145 each good deal on wheel but look out on 18" snow tires !! I got Blizzak LM60 225-45/18 at $250 each mounted and balanced. be careful ordering wheels to go over brembo brakes . Let it snow!!
