These are the 38mm one's that are my fav's :

These are several 40mm ones with the top one being my fav of these :

To be honest when I looked at my current tires when I got to work tonight I do not think that the 38mm offset will be an issue. There is lots of room between the tread and the inner fender lining both infront of and behind the tire when turned lock to lock in either direction. There is also plenty of room at the top of the inner fender. The only place there is not much room is at the bottom of the spring perch but as we know the tire distance to the perch does not change while driving so as long as they clear it they clear it lol. I do wonder how the 45's would fit though seeing as I can not even get half the thickness of my fingers to fit between the tire tread and the underside of the perch. Since the 40 series tires are the same diameter as what I have now and only slightly wider (5mm per side so +7mm on the outsides) I am thinking the additional 2mm's should not be an issue. But when the suspension dives it could pose an issue.

I just really wish I could either test fit them first or find some one here that has tried 38mm offset wheels.

Know what really sucks??? I have the same delema for my GF's Ion. The rims I have found for that car are also 38mm offset. What is my obsession with this offset lol? No but for real why can't they make more offset options for a given model of rims?

What also sucks is talking to shops or dealers and having them tell you that what they have listed will fit, (maybe on your vehicle)! My wifes Accord had a limited selection of wheels with the correct offset! We finally got something with the minimum offset which still put the tires sidewall at the fenders edge!

Oh yeah, that last wheel pictured sure is Sweet ,

As long as the wheel is still not breaking the plain of the fender I like the look. Infact it tends to give the car a more agressive look as well as a slightly wider stance for cornering. But once the sidewall breaks that plain I do think it starts looking bad.

I really wish I could see what 38mm offset rims look like on our cars.

As for those four rims I like all of them almost equally. The top two are my favs but the other two are right there. I like the dish of the top three but the 4th ones doo look sweet.

Anyone have photoshop and want to shop all four onto a grey HHR?
