Back in the day, I'd shave the block 10 to 15 thousands, but those were SBC or BBC engines!

ya I have never seen anything but benefits when making the quench area a little smaller, even making the compression higher and still have less detonation, of coarse there is a line that has to be drawn. better to go a little tighter than looser. That didn't sound good. lol

But to tight could cause a few bent valves, and or smacked pistons

The fun part is about to begin!!! I started off buying the ZZP neutral balance shafts, but decided I wanted something different. Here are my ballance shaft delete bushings for rear and front ones I had machined.

So you might be asking why I have bushings for the front. I wanted to run a electric water pump but I couldn't find a location that would let me tie into the pipe between the water pump and thermostat housing sufficiently.
