Here is a GM message to dealers on the kit:

Stage Kit for LNF Turbo Engine

Ready for sale Date
MY 07/08 = 12/15/2008

MY2009 = Early 09CY (assumes no additional CARB certification testing)

Comments
Adds 30 HP to the Turbo engine (290 vs. 260)
Adds 65 Lb-ft of torque (325 vs. 260) for auto trans.
Adds 80 Lb-ft of torque (340 vs. 260) for manual trans.
Kit includes sensors, wiring harnesses, and calibration changes
Plus Install time = 1 hour
Fits both Coupe & Roadster
Requires premium fuel

Stage kit for LNF Turbo - Warranty Clarification
If customer takes delivery of stage kit with new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit is equal to the new vehicle powertrain warranty.
If customer takes delivery of stage kit after new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit = 12 months/12,000 miles or the remaining new vehicle warranty, whichever is longer.
Installation of stage kit does NOT void new vehicle/powertrain warranty.
Warranty is void if kit is used for racing

The part is under warranty whether you buy the parts elsewhere or from them. Thats BS. I bought mine online and had it installed at our dealer. Its under warranty no matter what. Sounds like a clueless dealer and I wouldn't have it done there either.....

No problem whatsoever.

Call GM and ask if dealer so and so and the others are right or if they're trying to make up policy against GM.
GM is who says yay or nay not some local schmuck.
I checked first with Barton Birks Cadillac/Chevrolet in Newburgh, NY before I bought my GM Upgrade Kit from Crate Engine Depot.

Barton Birks clearly stated that they did not care if I brought the part in from another supplier, so as long as it was a genuine GM part. And the warrantee would follow my new car powertrain warrantee.

Re Barton Birks, IMO they now have a great service dept, but their sales dept are crooks.
