Help with P0017 P0016.
Maybe it’s an early built 2010 or very later 2009 SS what is in place of the gauge pod?
the P0016 and P0017 codes , well they don’t pertain to the VVT solenoids!
but both point to stretched timing chain

If there is no RPD then it wouldn't be able to show boost since the 2010's didn't have the pillar boost gauge.
I mean it is missing a boost gauge. There is no boost gauge or that ugly display thing on the dash. It was removed by the previous owner. It would be nice to see the boost on the pillar. GM used to have a single pod pillar.
No offense but are you sure this is a real 2010 HHR SS ? Reason for asking is that you can't just remove the RPD unit. The car won't run without it plugged in and operating. Well, unless you do a bypass of the system but I haven't heard of anyone doing that on the HHR SS.
