One thing too is not to brag much on web sites. Many MFG read them and note if someone has damaged a car with upgrades and or racing if they make a claim.
A few years back Subaru nailed a lot of WRX guys for autocrossing and ripping out their clutches.
Other companies have done this in some cases too.
