Trifecta + Superchips Automatic

I have an auto and have not had the same results as most with the trifecta tune. I have the superchips cortex and tuned over it with the trifecta select-a-tune. It keeps the tranny settings of the superchips.(Vince at trifecta says no transmission adjustments can be made by him and I thought this would be better than a transmission tuned for 220 hp.) I tried it several different ways. With the superchips and without. I found it difficult to get the boost above 15. I would have to blip the throttle before full acceleration and when I did get full boost it was only for a second before the car shifts. It also seems to take longer to reach boost. The superchips tune is immediate and goes to 18-19 then just above 20 on hard accelerations. The trifecta is higher, but it is hardly seen. I tested the 0-60 with the superchips programmer with the trifecta only, trifecta/superchips trans, and superchips and the superchips was faster every time. I ended up sending back the cable and a few days later reflashed with the superchips. I was expecting more. Maybe the autos need a custom tune. Any input from the auto owners would be appreciated.

Been tuned with vince now for almost 2 years. Never a problem. I did send logs to get the tune dialed in and would suggest that anyone getting tuned does the same. I have the stealth selectable tune and get full tuned boost at the press of a button. I couldn't be happier.

I get 22-23 psi with the GM upgrade on my auto. Why didn't you go with that?

I spoke with Vince today and he says there were some torq mgmt on the file the original file he sent me. He sent me the new one and I will update when I receive the cable.

I was not interested in the the stage kit as there are no compitent chevy dealers I trust to install it. Also the dyno numbers for the stage kit are comparable with the superchips around 270-280. The trifecta tune is suppost to be 300 at the wheels. I like the superchips data logging. I can record 0-60, 60 ft, 1/4 and 1/8 mile times as well as scan for codes.

Retuned with cable

I received the cable today and tried the new tune. MUCH BETTER. This tune is much more responsive than the superchips tune. Boost is immediate and stays around 23 when floored. Thanks Vince!!

Do a couple data logs and send them to Vince, he can fine tune your tune.
