A double gasket is a hard to miss problem, I’ve seen the front cover stuck out on the alignment pins also, however the was an issue prior to installing the harmonic balancer, and addressed by reaming the holes a touch with some emery cloth bits on a Dremal tool.
If the front cover isn’t seated properly then you will have an oil leak.
