AGM replacement battery?

I'm looking for an AGM replacement for the stock battery.

Autozone and orielly only have lead acid replacements.

I've been told that AGM is much better. Is this true?

Anyone replace their battery with AGM for the main battery, without an additional one? I will probably get a second one in the future but just need one for now.

In my oppinion it is not true that agm batteries are so much better. They last about a year more and you pay twice as much for them. If you want another few years out of a battery buy a solar charger that plugs into your cigar lighter. I run one on the dash. I have the stock battery that came with my 07. I have two aftermarket amps running on the single battery. The one feeding the 18" sub benched 2007 watts. An amp like that will do a battery in quickly if you don't do something to keep it peak charged. The only reason the stock battery is still going strong is the solar charger.

Thank you for the advice. I will not be getting an AGM battery now.

But I would like to know what amplifier does 2000w rms and only draws 130 amperes while doing it. (unless you have a high output alternator, the dis-regard my post)

It's a sundown saz 2500d. http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.ph...-2500d-v2.html
On the factory alt I was running 1500 watts for about 4 years off the same amp. The battery takes the brunt of it. The alt just wouldn't put up with the bursts I don't think. I imagine it would fry something pretty quick. Since the amp doesn't draw constant voltage, instead it peaks and rests I am guessing that's why I was able to run 1500 watts on the stock alt. Also I am into sound quality so no rap music or similar, which would draw a lot more amperage I imagine.
