Rebuilding the caliper is really REALLY easy. It doesn't take hours. Minutes MINUTES!

This is for a Ford but its not much different.

Rebuilding calipers is not bad if you have the proper tools and a little skill. Just watch when you use compressed air to pop the piston out. I have seen many lost thumb naild from this with some people when they smash them. LOL!

My comment was clearly: IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE!!!????? And don't have a hone or air compressor, And want to do it correctly, And do not want to die because you don't know what you are doing. I don't really mean "hone", but you gotta insure smoothness>

Rebuilding entails more than new rubber seals, if you want to live.. If the seals are bad after less than 100K there is a reason! Like abrasion on either the piston or the cylinder, neither of which Mr. Shadetree (me) is capable of repairing! Rebuild kits of most kinds are dangerous in the hands of untrained individuals.

The first time takes an hour or two! Subsequent times, with CORRECT tools and knowledge; yes, minutes.
