We sell the AC Delco Filter Kit with Cap. This way our customers have an extra cap if theirs becomes damaged or broken.

For the little extra cost, it provides a lot of security.

Hope it helps,

REDFLYR,
Champion makes the oil filters for Amsoil, Bosch, K&N, and Mobil 1 Extended.
There should be enough interest in the HHR, Cobalt, and other cars that use the same oil filter, to have one of those companies, plan on making that filter in the near future.

Guys,

I recently installed the K&N Intake, and now I have the Oil cap sticking out from the original Turtle Air Box.
Does that come off, and what is a source for a new oil cap that I can screw to the valve covers and take that protruding pipe out.

Oh... I noticed someone had a oil filter cap in the Gallery that said Mobile 1 on it. Where can I get one of those?

Thanks,
Keith

Where the extension tube goes into the valve cover the "thread" is the same as the cap. Just unscrew the tube and the cap will go directly into the cover.

For a Mobil 1, the thread is the same as the recent Corvette/GTO. You can get them from a dealer. Billit caps are also available on eBay.

Keith, a word of caution. When you go to take the oil tube off, you have to push down hard before you turn it to take it off. You have the potential of breaking it so be careful.
Also, it will be harder to add oil with the tube removed, and yes I know it look's better removed.
Have not done mine yet, still thinking about doing it though.
Good luck.............
