Sway Bars

yeah, we have them already but people have talked about adding an additional one to strengthen the front and reblance it out from the add on we're putting in the rear.
Me, I can't wait to get mine. Although I'm going to wait til thanksgiving to put it on when i go see my dad. It looks easy enough, but i know he enjoys working on the car with me. So i'll wait it out.

A long time hot rodder and car lover here... and as I've stated before... I have put 4bbl carbs in place of 2bbls.... new manifolds, cams, ignitions and other "cheap" mods to my Camaros, Impalas, etc over the years.
Nothing has come close to instantly working and being appealing as the TT sway bar. Just driving 5MPH the car's steering wheel is razor sharp and a couple times I've pressed it in the dry to where even the 50 series rubber was getting scuffed on the sidewalls without losing an inch of space sliding.
You do not need to drive like a mad man to appreciate the control and the security of being able to just out handle the next car in an emergency.
I see ZERO negative to this modification. I live in Seattle where it rains... if you're dumb enough to push it hard on a cloverleaf in the rain even in an Audi Quattro... you're determined to push it...

To clarify...replace the front bar with one of increased diameter...now that the back end is solid, I do notice a slight bit of roll in the front( that is,the front rolls more then the rear), but as with anything..best to leave it for awhile and "play " with it a bit to sort it out. I am thinking of parking lot courses so yeah..I'm a bit pickier on balance.Besides who would ever expect an HHR to come out and whoop butt!

I have been driving my panel every day since June 21 2007. Today my sway bar was installed at the SoCal g2g (thanks Don). I could tell pulling out of my parking space the difference. It just feels tighter and firm overall. The drive home was excellent. I have 18's and Eibach Pro kit and it all works together great.
Say what you want about balance or whatever but to me the bottom line is I think having a sway bar is better than not having a sway bar. If you like the way your HHR handles leave it alone, but if you want it to handle like a slot car get a sway bar.
