Briefly a member of the 77,777 club too I see, but where did you find that Corvair Lakewood wagon cut down into a "Redneck El Camino"?

I would be more impressed with 77,777 miles at 77 mph.

Just kidding. Love the look of the instrument panel. That is going to be one of my next mods.
PM me some info on that if you can.

I'm betting they used a period 60's GM "in cab" gas tank behind the seat, and ditched the original Corvair front mounted tank for more cargo room.

Lakewood wagons are rare, and they were rare when they were new, maybe it got hit in the rear prompting the conversion.

Picked up the timing chain kit from Hauto Zone today to the tune of 150 bucks. Couldn't bring myself to put the old chain back in as much as I wanted to save the cash for other toys. Hurt my back the other day and that put the truck on hold, but feeling better today and should be able to get it installed.

Hoping to pull the the truck out under its own power today.

Had to run up to Wally World to grab a few things and the lighting just seemed right for a picture with my new phone.
(our local Walmart doesn't seem to experience the Black Friday craziness)
