Got up this afternoon, peeked out the front door, thought something was amiss with the HHR. Here's what I saw (sorry for blurry photo, though it's kind of like my vision when I first get up )

I went out to take a closer look, this is what I find:

While it's not easy to see, mostly due to a lousy photographer, here's a closeup of the impact area of whatever caused it:

I couldn't find any rock or BB or anything. Talked to my insurance agent, We'll get it fixed tomorrow. I didn't open the door, in fact I just peeked in from the other side, didn't want to cause any more mess than needed; I'll leave that for the glass guy. I did see a few small glass specks on the seat, so I'm sure I'll have to vacuum that up if the glass guy doesn't.

I'll just have to take the wife's LTZ to work tonight. Things could be worse.

On an unrelated note, my IPCW taillights arrived today, I WAS going to put them in tomorrow morning, but since I really don't want to be shaking the vehicle right now, the taillights will have to wait for another day.

Sorry about the damage JavaMann, I'm thinking it was caused by a rock thrown by a lawnmower or more likely a moron. The glass guy should vacuum it out for you, sucks that it has to sit overnight like that, make sure any valuable are removed or out of sight.

1151, I got the Bermuda Black. I vacillated between the black, the chrome, or the smoked. I don't want to de-chrome the car so the chrome would have been good, I thought the smoked would look good on the dark gray, but in the end, I chose the black - just seemed 'right' to me.

JavaMann-

That's a bummer man...You can see where it hit, I say a rock & accidentally..

That's another reason I like Tinted glass (with tint film), it will hold most all the glass fragments together..
