Gave the Paddy-Wagon a tummy full of Shell V-Power Premium on the way home this afternoon, it was time for the monthly shot of high test rocket fuel....and I had to make up for driving a Fiat 500 at lunchtime.

You and Jennifer Lopez, don't know why they call it a 500, it looks like a 125 at the most.

Washed it and am patiently (yeah right) waiting on my personalized tag. And needs to be washed yet again. (sigh) Ah the downfalls of owning a black car (but I wouldn't have it any other way). :)

"Blackie" finally got his newly painted steps installed (ordered in August!) and I celebrated by getting him a well deserved bath & a wheel polish/tire treatment. Looks like new again (but at 4700 miles he should!).

The step rocker panels really complete the proper look of an HHR to me. Not to mention the additional protection they would seem to offer the vulnerable areas of the doors & fenders. The dealer was "surprised" that the steps came in unpainted. It said that right on the part description (most of the others said Red, Blue, White - whatever - but there was no choice for metallic Black- only primer). I wonder why they were surprised?

It must have been a "waterfall" weekend, as I purchased an extra one Friday and painted and installed it Saturday. Now that I have two days of driving around with it on my dash, I don't like the look as much as I thought I would. Going to swap back to the original one this weekend, unless by some chance the new one grows on me. Just went outside to move the car to where I can see it from the front door in the morning and set the controls from A/C to heat. Going to use the remote start to warm up the car in the morning and I can't hear it cranking/run from where it was sitting.

Started the HHR after sitting for 23 days. Battery STILL appeared to be strong, although I had a little starter "drag". I'll drive it tomorrow to the store.

Still waiting for a dead OEM Delco battery....6 years old. How's that 843de???

Also dusted it with the California Duster.
