I recall someone saying something like GM was fixing the problem as opposed to other companies that have never admitted there was a problem. My point is that they are effecting a solution so long after being aware of the problem. That's not much of a consolation.

I checked on the recall web site for my SS. It seems 2008-2011 sold in Canada are not recalled. Why?

Hi there! I saw on Friday that they expanded this recall to include my car now. (I have a 2011 hhr). I did call my local dealer who stated that chevy has not officially added the expansion to it's recall list yet and they probably won't until the last week of April! I then called the chevy hotline and got basically the same answer.. Yet the news and GM is stating that they ARE Included in this recall, the dealership " checking my vin" comes back as NOT included because it's "not official yet". I asked for a loaner car until it is fixed due to our drive next week (a 400 and some odd mile trip one way) and was informed that I cannot have one until the recall is officially updated via chevy. Do you have any advice? Thanks in advance for your time!

I had to replace my ignition switch last year because I could not get the key out--can I get a refund for the $400 plus dollars the dealer charged me?

Mine didn't show up in the list either saying there are no open recalls, I imagine it will take them a few days to get the site updated

My dealership informed me the ignition switch on my car was changed in 2012 and therefore is not subject to the recall... I thought those of us who got new ignition switches prior were exactly who was recalled in the newer model years?

I seem to recall the resident 'service advisor for a Chevy dealer' who posted a few times earlier in this thread that every vehicle gets a new switch regardless.

It seems like there isn't a lot of fluidity to the messages people are getting via GM, the media, other reps... I know that my car is most likely fine (and I adore my car ) but I have that big drive coming and two kids to keep safe, I just wish they would figure out what is and isn't included..
