Oh man, just when I thought I was not going to post another comment on this topic. But I guess anyone tired of this subject will just not look at this thread (right?). Anyway. I have a 5 speed, no brake problems, my vacuum goes quickly to 10 inches, and at that point my brakes are fine. From this post it sounds like 10 inches vac is not sufficient with the auto. ???

Well none of us are going to fix this problem.

I also am sure GM is aware of what is wrong or I would have not gotten a Factory tag on the dash that said the Antilocks would assist in low vaccume time for the brakes.

The best thing we can do at this point is let it build vaccume before we drive off and try to confirm that GM has a fix in the works form other than a dealer scource.

GM has also dealt with this on the Solstice and SKy from what I was told.

So lets e mail or contact those at GM and try to get an answer that we can tie to a name or title.

Don't take none are in the works as an answer as GM is so large that half the time the left hand has no idea knows wht the right hand is doing. Dealers don't always know about fixes till they are done and have a TSB. I have had a few times I supplied the TSB due to the dealer no finding it or knowing. It is good to be able to get on the Mitchell network and find my own.

SO instead of beating a dead horse her lets put our efforts into contacting GM as I have already started.
