I tried to redo my wiring harness this past weekend... I wanted to run them back through the back of the interior where they're supposed to go, where the original harness ran.

But to do that, this big metal plate has to be removed...

Unfortunately, the "hex" screws holding it in place are on so damned tight... I couldn't budge them a hair and they broke my ratchet! I'm gonna have to hope and pray when I go in and ask the Dealer about replacing that turn signal now, as it sounds like it broke as a result of me tugging and pulling on the original wiring harness inside the wheel from when I first installed the controls last week.

Glad to hear the instructions came in handy once again HonestBlue...when I did mine there were none and I struggled a bit trying to figure it out and not break anything in the process.

Nazramoth...sorry to hear about your ratchet. I did mine ages ago and didn't run the wires back thru and everything works great. Sorry to hear about your signal lever...I'm sure if you don't tell the dealer you did it you'll be fine. They probably won't even know that you added the buttons anyway. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

the cruise panel on the wheel is more of a silver color on my 07, and charcoal on the 06.
