I'm hearing water sloshing around when I turn....so I'm pretty sure it is clogged. Worked kicked my ass yesterday so I didn't even try to look for the hose again. Work is doing a pretty good job of repeating itself tonight.

Thanks for the additional info!

Thanks to Oldblue I was able to access the drain tube under the hood, behind the air filter box. I was able to get weed eater line in there but not the heavy duty clothesline. I didn't feel I got in very far. Water did come out...but nowhere near a gush of water. So I wasn't confident in my results. I did this yesterday. On my way to work last night I could still hear water sloshing around still. I haven't taken out the cabin filter yet but I have ordered one from RockAuto that should be here any day. I'm not sure how far the line should go up in the drain tube... I just don't think I got it all unblocked.

It sometimes takes a couple of tries, I bend a hook on the end of the line to grab any debris up in there.

I'm not sure how I could bend a hook and push it through. It seemed very narrow trying to push the line through. Unless it is that built up with crud.

Why is it not possible to just look under the car for a puddle of water?

Water sloshing around in the waterfall are sounds more like low coolant level.

As Ronnie said in post #33 some water came out that drain hose, so if she was under her HHR she would be soaking wet! Now , you do raise a good suggestion for Ronnie.
Ronnie did you check the coolant level at the cooling system overflow tank and under the coolant filler cap on the upper radiator hose?
