Advance Auto carries the "shorty" 32mm oil filter socket also..

But got my magnetic drain plug off ebay, Yea it can hold a 1-1/4" combo wrench.. Rare Earth magnet..

I'm suprised how many seem to have a hard time finding this socket. I picket mine up off the shelf at Advance.

When I called two local Advance stores, they were a special order. Got one off ebay.
Iwas also surprised that Advanced , along with Napa and Autozone did have to order them. They fit many models of cars.

Everytime I go into advance, I always look to see if they have one on the tool rack. Each and every time I see the same AmPro 32mm 1/2 drive socket like I have. (granted, I now have an O'Riley's very close to the house, so I go there now).

Is everyone asking for an ecotec filter socket, or just picking up the socket off the tool rack?

Going to add to this thread.

Instead of a 32mm socket, a 1 1/4 inch socket will work as well.

Is that a plastic intake manifold on my 2.4 L engine?
and, the answer is......

Solman, Thanks for the detailed pics & narrative. Between you & YouTube I changed oil & filter, and changed both headlamp bulbs today. I had called a mobile mechanic to do work, but he never got back to me, so....with your help I did it myself. Not bad for a 62 yr old granny. Thanks again!! :-)
