I have a 2006 2.4 HHR. I need to replace my injectors and I saw the TSB stating GM 12625029 is the correct replacement. However, when I tried to install them they don't even come close to fitting. The end is too small and doesn't seat. Anyone replace their injectors and can you give me the corrected part number?

The part number is correct. They should fit with no problem.

Which end doesnt' fit? Engine or fuel rail? Are there O-rings on both ends? Are the tips dark blue?

Also you must get a reprogram after installing these or your check engine light will come back on.

 

Maybe the cups that fit into the head came out with the original injectors? I've seen that happen many times.

 

Cups? That must be it. I'll check again. I haven't seen cups on injector ports before. Thanks for the help.
