Ignition 1 does not connect to the key switch. It is a wire that will immobilize the vehicle. Usually an immobilizer will be installed by cutting one of the ignition 1 wires and splice wires from the module on each part. There are 2 ignition 1 wires next to each other on the BCM.

Is this your repair?

It's a manual trans.

I had to leave to go run errands but can check more by the BCM when I get back later tonight. Do you know where both parts of ignition 1 are at the BCM so I can trace those both back? It's possible something else is hidden further back in the center console that I cannot see.

No that is not my repair. I believe the photo makes it look like a splice job, but there was a power wire connected from that spot to the dball module. It is just cut and I haven't fully cleaned it up yet.

That is a splice the aforementioned immobilizer. It is one of the ignition 1 wires, sound familiar?

OK. Trying to keep it simple and taking a wild guess here.
Does anyone else think "A" looks corroded ? I would also check "B".
I know I've read several posts in the past of owners tracing down electrical gremlins. Then they find it was simply a bad battery cable connection at the fuse box.

Everything at both terminals was cleaned and I removed all corrosion. I have looked again and there aren't any modules left in the car that could be interfering with ignition 1. Is there a way that I can try jumping in power to enable everything that isn't receiving power?
