2010 dome lights - cargo light not working

Yes, I'm with you about $65 for that. I think I'll roll this to a back burner, and see what turns up. After all, I've been using it in the dark for a year; a few more weeks or months isn't going to be too painful. Maybe my local junkyards are cheaper. If not, the LEDs are a great idea.
While we're on the topic, the list of bulb replacements in this forum says (if I find the unit), I'd need a PC168 lamp. After seeing FMG's photo, and doing a quick internet search, it looks like it should be a 211-2. If I'm right, can that correction be noted somewhere for future users?
Thanks!

We've got a couple of members here that are parting out some HHR's. I'm sure one of them could come up with a cargo light pretty cheap.

Hey Oldblue, I bought that LED light kit. It's going to fit really nicely in the dome light. Brilliant idea!
So here's my newbie question: Do I need to worry about positive or negative polarity when connecting it? There's a red wire and a black one on the new light. The plug in the HHR roof has a grey wire, and a black/white striped one. I can upload a photo if needed. No markings on the LED light at all.

Project finished -- I now have light in the cargo area! The LED light kit looks clean and crisp - and yes, a whole lot less expensive than a replacement OED light, and then I'd need to buy new lamps occasionally. Thanks, everyone!
