The red/black wire is a constant 12v power to the BCM.

Disconnect the wire you tapped into it , check all fuses , replace burnt fuse, your HHR should now start!

Now do you have more information about this blinking alarm light you want to connect?
Is it just a decoy light that flashes to fool burglars ?
Your car does have a built in alarm from the factory, your key FOB controls it.
