Mods...I'm thinking this thread should be renamed since the issue was fixed...?
Something like "EPS issue and column rattle fixed" or something along those lines that would help others find it if they have similar issues...

If you had Re positioned the steering wheel the steering angle sensor would be wacky.

 

That was my fear and the reason I didn't do it that way while I had it apart.
My wife has it at work right now so this evening I might jump in there and get it straightened out.

 

I got it taken care of. .. I busted into it when my wife got home.

I tried to just slip the intermediate shaft off the column shaft but there was no room to get the leverage to pry it off the splines.

I had to drop the whole column again and separate the two by yanking on the wheel. If your doing this don't forget to unplug all the wire connections that go around the column or you could easily rip the wires from their plugs.

Again I have pics that I will get posted in time. If someone needs them sooner just let me know and I'll get a move on...
