This is the EBCM, it has a electrical connector on it that is out of sight.
I didn't mean the Owner Manual for the error, I meant it for general info like how to change the cabin air filter and other "stupid" questions.
A diesel mechanic is worse than useless on cars. Find someone that works on cars. If the problem is a bad EBCM you will need a qualified mechanic to replace it. More likely some wire got diddled. They don't just up and break without something happening.

 

Here’s my 2 cents worth, try this it might work, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery in the back by the spare tire, after 30 minutes reconnect the terminal and gently tighten the fastener. It’s a 10 mm nut.

 

I have disconnected the batterry when I finished replacing the solenoids but Im problably not letting it sit long enough, Iv only let it go disconnected about 5 min then reconnect it, I will try this again and let it sit longer, my HHR was parked for several months since June, I was using one of my father inlaws spare work vehicle but they needed it back, thats why Im now rushing to get mine just enough to pass inspection, I was hoping to purchase a new car by now but no luck, and Id honestly just fix my HHR enough to drive at least another year. Im hoping to get her all new tires come January.

 

Fingers crossed it works and resets the computers. We call it a battery lobotomy.

 

Replacing the intake VVT solenoid was a good move, the best bet for that code, and it paid off. Replacing the exhaust solenoid was unnecessary. I hope you saved the good one, because if the new one fails, you'll have the good one to put back.

How old is the battery? Sometimes a weak battery causes BCB/ECM communication problems.

The intake hose you repaired is not the original. If you can find the oem "wooly worm," you'll find it's just a tiny bit queiter.

It took a few posts for the history to trickle out. I'll offer this - you can't save money by delaying repairs or mainenance. It costs more. In particular, neglected oil changes are deadly. Best to change the oil at 50% and use a full synthetic with the Dexos tag.

Test the voltage at the battery after it has sat overnight or better, after a couple days. If it's not holding 12.6V, it may be time for a new one. No point trying to diagnose electrical problems with an iffy battery.

 

My personal experience: got P0010, replaced INT VVT valve; 3 minutes later got P0013. Luckily I was doing it in the parking lot of the store
