Front end noise
Front end noise
I have a front end "clunk" that happens at low speed. The easiest way to make it happen is rocking the steering wheel back & forth from about 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock at anything under 20 mph.
I did a search, and read through a bunch of threads, but didn't find my exact problem. I'd just like to have some opinions as to what it might be & how much it may cost before I take somewhere so that I have an idea of what I should be expecting.
Also, this isn't the steering column wobble that happens while braking. I have that as well, but I'm not worried about it.
It pretty much just gives one "clunk" whenever I turn the wheel.
Thanks in advance!

As you have likely read, the clunk can be attributed to any of the many components that make up the front suspension.
You didn't indicate how many miles you have racked up, but if you have high mileage I'd first look at the lower control arm rear bushings, sway bar bushings and end-links on the sway bar. Beyond that, a full inspection of all front end components will be needed.
You mentioned wobble while braking, and that you are not worried about it? If I was you, I would worry about it - trying to control the vehicle at high speed when the wobble gets severe, can be a scary and dangerous thing. I've had minor braking "wobble" previously that suddenly went severe - scared the heck out us. New rotors resolved that issue.

Been dealing with that myself. The dealership has changed out the steering rack, column, sway bar bushings, struts... in all these assemblies, are the sway bar links and control arm worked on? Suspension is just not my thing...
Yes, they should have at least looked at them.
