FWIW: Buy a tube of Clear 100% Silicone 1 & wipe a sealing layer around every boot to body connection...

Then in 24 hrs, you can rule all those areas out .. Plus good insurance for future. & being clear you will never see it.

I called the dealer they told me to open up the driver door and check the boot that routs the wires into the car, when i touched it water flowed out of it so i fugured that was the culprit, i bought some black silicone sealant and gooped it up around it also noticed there is a small round cap behind it so i did the same to that too, prob gonna do the pass side too now, it rained yesterday and no leak we shall see!!!! 2008 hhr lt

UPDATE: Just thought I'd bring closure to this thread in the event someone else has the problem. GM sealed everything they could and the minor leak continued. Eventually pulled the entire dash and found a 2" seam in the firewall that was not sealed from the factory. Been dry for a month now. Really crummy issue to have....and I'm not thrilled having the dash out (couple of rattles to address still) but no more water.

Water in driver floorboard

Our driveway slopes down. When the wife pulls the HHR in, it is nosedown and at a slight cant with passenger side lower. Been getting water in floorboard for a while now when it rains. Today I think I have discovered my problem. The weather strip around the door opening has the ends meet at the bottom. Which should be normal. Also the interior trim has seams around there. I followed the water. It is wicking up thru the seam in the weatherstrip. Then traveling to the seam in the interior trim parts (where kickpanel meets door sill). It follows that seam into the floorboard. It gathers under the accelerator pedal which would be the lowest point (without going over the trans hump). Going to try sealing the weatherstrip seam and see what that does.
