Update - of course the dealer ordered the wrong part (the non-stage 1 sensor). Will be waiting another two weeks for the correct sensor to arrive from the US.

Have a 2010 HHR SS Stage 1 with 65,000 miles. Over the last year the turbo has dropped out for weeks at a time... no boost and CEL would come on. During this time, the engine ran just like an unboosted 2 liter (perfectly drivable but no boost). Took the car on a Seattle-Las Vegas trip and the turbo ran perfectly. But as soon as I returned it dropped out again. Finally, I decided to focus on it. Tried to check the two Bosch MAF wiring but couldn't get a good look at them. Wiggled the wires but no change. Then, totally unrelated, I took it to a quick oil change place for an oil change and the fellow says "sir, do you want you air filter changed"... I looked at it... it was the original filter!!! It was black (but a flashlight still managed a little light through it). After many oil changes... including visits to Chevy for various things, nobody took the time to remove the 6 screws to get the cover off and check the air filter. Anyway, put in a new air filter and the BOOST RETURNED... and the next day the CEL light went out (the code was P0101). Coincidence? ... we'll see. But love that Stage 1 boost!

Good tip on the filter.

But this is a 4 year old thread, so lets just close this thread.
