The hood ajar switch is 2 switches to ground 1 in N.O. and the other is N.C. the ground is on the driver side strut tower.

You might try the connector. Or the micro switches, You could bypass the switches if you figure out which is which. I think the PU (B) wire needs to be grounded for the RVS to work and the other open.

Ok, popped hood , RS wouldn't work, got into car , no DIC warning that the hood was ajar, I must have been thinking of the gate ajar warning.

My 06 has problems with remote start. If it's below 0 F it starts then dies. It starts a second time then dies. If I don't have the controls set to defrost, it will start and run, which kind of defeats the purpose of the remote start. I took it back to the dealer one cold night so they cold check it but somebody saw it was scheduled to be worked on first thing in the morning and brought it into the shop that night. AllData says there was a software update for the 2006. It had something to do with how long it takes to get oil pressure and disabling the AC compressor until the engine is running but the dealer can't find it.

Same thing in the summer. It starts and dies with the AC on.
