Good to know RJ. Thanks. I suppose the cat might have been soaking up oil. No blue smoke at least. I'll keep a closer eye out for oil drops in the driveway.

So just as others have suggested, the P0171 code just came back, just as the car has been threatening to stall again when slowing down and downshifting in town. Say, 25-30 to 10-15. If I don't throw it in neutral, I'll stall.

I went to have another look under the hood and found this:

(The link is now pasted correctly for you fine gents).

I don't believe that is factory spec so I reconnected them.
Is that a vacuum line to the MAF sensor? MAP sensor?

That is the PCV hose, it connects to the valve cover. If it is leaking it will cause P0171.

Thanks, Don.
Connected it up and the code went away on its own.
Car still runs kinda lumpy sometimes, slowing down in town, but I'll take a small win today.

Where's the MAF sensor? Is that something I should take a peek at?

Many thanks to all.

That electrical connector you have to deal with when you remove the air filter.
