And now two nights ago Im comming home from work doing about 60 mph {ok ok 80 mph} and it just died when I try to start it it will start but it dies after 1 sec. Can any body help me

I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but, the HHR, and I'm guessing all have them, do not have a mechanical connection to the throttle body via the gas pedal, it's electronic. My guess would be to start looking there

Not enough information, Brent. What is the mileage on the vehicle? Are there any warning lights associated with the sudden engine shut down at speed? Did you just acquire the vehicle or have you owned it for a while?
From your description, it sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem of some sort.

The abscence of an illuminated CEL does not preclude the possibility of stored trouble codes, take it to your local auto parts store or mechanic and have them "pull the codes".
If any codes are found post them up here, and posting the code (P0010 as an example), is much better and more accurate than a description like "they said it had a code for x".

Sorry for any frustration this issue has caused. Have you already spoken with your dealership about this? I understand that you're outside of your vehicle warranty, but if you are interested in having them check into this for you, we'd be happy to help. We can reach out to them on your behalf and see what repair options are available to you. If this is something you would like to try, please message us your full contact info, VIN, and preferred dealership.
Thank you,
Amber N.

Fuel Tank Vent
Brent,
I had a similar problem on one of my other vehicles a few years back. It ended up the vent of the fuel tank was plugged. The vehicle would run until the pump couldn't over come the vacuum in the tank and then it would shut down. I spent weeks chasing that one and replacing parts until one day I was under the tank when it shut down and heard it gurgling. Pulled off the gas cap and it ran like a dream. Probably should have pulled the tank and replaced the check valve but I just drilled a small hole in the cap. It was an older car, I don't think you would be able to get away with that today. It is an easy check though.
