On my 09 you press the lock button once and then hold the top center button for 4 seconds to activate the remote start.

For whatever reason I can't see the pic posted of the FOB. But if it is not a GM or specifically an HHR FOB it will never work.

it looks like a GM key fob, however my keyfob does not have a trunk button

This is also what I understand, also as previously stated, push lock button twice, then try the remote start.

pressing twice, then holding

pressing once, then holding

the last thing i have to do is just look for the code

havent looked yet, i bet this car doesnt have it

I said no thanks.......I'm still convinced that mine which is an 08 rental was bulit using the LT wiring and BCM and then had deletes for fogs and remote starter since it was a ls rental cause mine has the wiring for fogs, and has the ability to turn remote start on or off in the DIC.

Any ways I will continue searching and will probably go see another dealer in the area at some point.
