Mystery issue with brakes
That's just it/ No codes are being stored. I have had the brakes down, tire rods replaced, and the brakes bleed. It doesn't happen all of the time. It's rare but scary when it does. Luckily, it hasn't happened over 10 mph so the drift hasn't caused any accidents.
Like donbrew said, ABS codes don't get stored.
I guess my posts are invisible, again.
I'll try one more time.
The ABS codes can ONLY be read while the ABS light is on. They will basically tell you which wheel is a problem.
What drift?
Have the airbags ever deployed?
Has the steering wheel ever been removed?
Is there a weird noise when the brakes do this?
Sounds like maybe the lateral acceleration sensor or a wheel sensor or steering angle sensor is wonky.
