i sure can drive one brother..this is a manual there was oil on the top part too where those plugs are i cleaned it all out

There's oil there because those solenoids are under constant pressure. They pulse in order to "vary" the timing. I'd bet that engine loses a ton of oil. Since they don't really make a VVT plug.

I can't for the life of me think why someone would do that! Sheesh

You can't just plug the VVT solenoid holes and drive it , you need the non VVT cams.

i dont know how its running but it does. i just hope their is hope for it again im not sure what to do at this point...

but the funny thing is it passed emissions but the guy said he was failing it cause of the p0016 code and that my check engine light was not working

I wouldn't drive it at all if you can avoid it. A non VVT engine doesn't have those large holes or the tapped holes. Who knows what you've got there. I can see it's a VVT engine without solenoids in it...no Bueno!

You really shouldn't post personal information. No matter how upset you are...

I don't want to point a finger, but the fact is your inexperience with this engine is what got you in this mess. No one here would've given that vehicle a second look. I can fake e check in 100 different ways, been doing it since forever! It's not John's fault he's a great salesman. I'm gonna help out because I care, but really, you should've never bought it
