it was marked “refurbished” and reflashed to my provided information, so it is an OEM computer as far as I’m aware.

today I got the vehicle running, it seems to have been that plug coming apart I showed in my last reply that caused a majority of the issues, I let the battery charge as well and will get it tested when I can just incase. Now I have the crankshaft code, and a bcm code U2111 and I don’t have power steering assist. I put a junkyard power steering assist motor in it last year as well (before I knew if I was going to get it running) and figured it wouldn’t last too long, but I’m weary of replacing it again incase it’s not the issue. Snap on solus shows it had a communication loss to power steering system, any ideas for that?

Refurbished means erased then they put your VIN in it. The crankshaft variation must be learned. If you put a junkyard ECM in it will noyt give that code but will use the variation that it learned from the donor. It takes an interactive computer to learn it.
My money is on a fuse re: the power steering. https://www.ericthecarguy.com/forums...ower-steering/
Were you aware of the extended warranty/recall on the EPS motor?

you're gonna laugh at me about this one, but my windshield wiper and power steering fuses on the inside BCM/fuse panel were just gone… anyway I replaced those and have those features back. I will have to find somebody that can program the computer to the crankshaft position sensor

edit: thank you guys for all your help so far, I’m glad to have this vehicle running again, and didn’t go through the mess of replacing the BCM for no reason!

A shop with a good scanner can relearn the CPS for you.
